Bubble tea:

More bubble tea FAQ here.

Because the name "bubble tea" can refer more to a genre or category of drink rather than a specific beverage, it can sometimes lead to a lot of confusion among devotees and initiates alike.

That's why we have devised

The Bruce&Clark Bubble Tea Schema®

- a conceptual framework for the understanding of bubble tea
- a methodological basis for the preparation of bubble tea beverages

LIQUID COMPONENT
"base"/ "medium" of bubble tea

e.g. Tea, water, fruit juices

FLAVOR COMPONENTS
"essence" or "identifier"

e.g. Cream Flavored Powders (CFP), Sour Flavored Powders (SFP), Flavored Syrups (FS)

SWEETENER COMPONENTS
"bond" of bubble tea

- binds all the different ingredients of bubble tea together, bringing out the drink's flavor
e.g. Sugar syrup, honey, fructose

TEXTURE COMPONENTS
"soul" of bubble tea

e.g. Tapioca pearls, Choobee™, coconut jelly, flavored puddings

To make one cup of bubble tea, one needs to combine all the ingredients together.

e.g. Making Taro Milk Tea:

COMPONENTS: LIQUID + FLAVOR + SWEETENER + TEXTURE

= Water/ Tea & Ice + Taro CFP & Refined Creamer Powder + Sugar Syrup or Honey + Choobee™/Tapioca Pearls
